Strawberries are back! — and we couldn't be happier. There’s nothing quite like the taste of a fresh-picked strawberry. Unlike berries harvested unripe and left to "ripen" on shelves, ours are picked at their peak — usually just a day or so before they land in your box. The difference in flavor is everything.
Over the weekend, I brought in my dear friend Kelly from Where Spirit Meets Space to help me bring more harmony and intention into my home through feng shui. As part of the process, we walked the land together — and I saw it all with fresh eyes.
Every CSA box is like a little reset. It’s easy to get caught up in busy days, wondering what’s for dinner or reaching for whatever’s fast. But this box offers a chance to pause, peek inside, and let the contents guide you.
Spring has definitely been arriving on its own terms this year — cool days, chilly nights, and even a little hail in Buellton over the weekend! It’s a reminder that nature sets the pace, not us.
It’s been a beautiful week on the farm—sunny skies, warm breezes, and the kind of spring weather that makes everything come alive. The sugar snap peas are absolutely popping, and we’re excited to welcome zucchini and artichokes to your boxes this week.
We have a treat for you this week—Goleta grown avocados! We’ve been letting them ripen gently, so they’re ready to enjoy now. Have you ever frozen avocados to blend into a smoothie? It makes for the creamiest, most satisfying texture—an easy upgrade to your morning or afternoon blend.
The year's first strawberries are here! I know you’ve been waiting for that first taste of sweet, juicy spring berries, and they’re officially making their way into the CSA boxes. Strawberries can be a bit finicky, needing just the right spring weather, but they’re absolutely worth the wait.
I’ve been reflecting on how our CSA box this week mirrors if you have your own home garden. When you grow a few crops, you tend to eat them until they’re gone before moving on to the next harvest. It’s a natural rhythm, one that connects us to the land and the seasons. Our farm follows that same rhythm, and eating this way helps us stay grounded in the natural cycles of growing and harvesting.
Happy Spring! Although March 20th marked the official start, for me when I saw the sweet peas popping up at our farmstand I knew spring arrived. There’s something magical about watching the seasons shift right in front of our eyes. While hearty winter produce trails off, signs of new life are everywhere.
