Hi, I'm Carolyn Givens, owner and operator of Something Good Organics. My passion is really in food freedom and healthy eating. If you're unable or don't have time to plant your own garden, we're here to back you up with some of the best produce I've ever tasted. When I'm not running our CSA program you can find me tending to about 200 chickens, being a mom of two boys, and practicing my health coaching program. I love the outdoors, especially the beach or being amongst a bunch of trees. I'm so glad you're here to be part of our mission to connect our farm with the community.
Lucia is the backbone of all additions put into your box. Need an extra basket of strawberries or a dozen eggs? She has you covered.
Lucia has lived in Santa Barbara for about 5 years now and she loves doing yoga and spending time with the ocean.
Sara is a integral part of our crew. She's on the farm a few days before we even box up the veggies to get everything in order every week.
"Tengo 20 años en Santa Bárbara. Me gusta hacer hiking me gusta cocinar y estar con mi familia."
Lia is another core member of our CSA team. If you get a box delivered in Santa Barbara you will see her making sure you are fed in our veggie van.
"When I'm not exploring the great outdoors, enjoying a book on the beach, or studying geology - I am striving to learn new ways to bring organic produce to more people in our local community. I believe sustainable farming can led to everlasting health benefits, and everyone deserves the opportunity to eat great foods."
Christina has been such a great addition to our team. She's our Goleta delivery girl and beyond, and we're so grateful to have her.
"I've lived in Santa Barbara since 2016 and love spending time at the beach or doing anything outdoors. I also love dogs, plant based food, reading and spending time with family and friends."
Here's one of the hardest working guys I know. If you've been to the farm you've seen Juan and his friendly face. This guy is responsible for the success of our CSA program on so many levels. From coordinating crop plantings, to running a whole farm crew and getting everything picked - Juan pretty much does it all.
Here's José Luis working hard as always. He's responsible for making sure our CSA order is put together and ready for us each week. He's been keeping orders for all aspects of the farm together for over 28 years. He's a cornerstone of production.
This is Dana. He's been with John Givens farm as a Sales Manager for about 28 years! When Dana isn't working you can also find him jamming out with his band Area 51 around town. He's one of the nicest people I know and I am so glad to work with him.
